Bridget Moynahan hinted at a potential Blue Bloods reunion following CBS’ cancellation of the beloved series. In a recent interview with TVLine Spotlight, the 53-year-old actress expressed openness to the idea. “Yeah, why not,” she said, adding with a laugh, “But we can’t have that many years [away]!”
The series, which concluded in November 2023 after 14 seasons, maintained excellent ratings and a devoted fan base. Bridget expressed unhappiness with the decision, adding, “I don’t quite understand it…” We had tremendous ratings and terrific tales with solid values that appealed to audiences.”
Reflecting on the show’s legacy, she shared her bond with the cast, describing them as a “family on and off the screen.” Moynahan revealed that she still keeps in touch with her co-stars, including Vanessa Ray and Donnie Wahlberg. “We’re still celebrating birthdays and having fun out there. I miss them daily,” she said.
Bridget and Donnie had worked together before Blue Bloods and developed a strong bond. Donnie even thanked her for reuniting him with his now-wife, Jenny McCarthy, calling Bridget a “good doobie” for her matchmaking efforts.
While the series has wrapped, Moynahan’s comments spark hope for fans longing to see the Reagan family reunited on-screen.
